Have you been a Resident of India for 2 years or more in last 10 preceding years?

Are you a person of Indian origin on a visit to India?

Have you stayed in India for 730 days or more in last 7 years?

Are you on a visit to India?

Have you stayed in India for 365 days or more in last 4 years?

Whether your income exceeds ₹ 15 lakhs (other than income from foreign sources)?

Have you stayed in India for 120 days or more during Current financial year AND 365 days or more in last 4 years?

Have you left India for employment outside India?

 

Note : Deemed Resident - An Indian citizen shall be Resident but Not Ordinarily Resident (RNOR) if :

  • his total Income is in excess of ₹ 15 lakh (other than income from foreign sources) AND 
  • he is not liable to pay tax in any country
